People’s National Congress (PNC) Vice-President and Parliamentary Group Leader Ibrahim Falah has denied reports that members of the party’s parliamentary group met Eagle Hills Chairman Mohamed Alabbar.

In a post on X, Falah described a report published by Adhadhu as a blatant lie, accusing the news outlet of spreading false information without proper verification.

He also accused the outlet’s owners and journalists of profiting from the dissemination of misinformation.

Alabbar arrived in the Maldives yesterday and reportedly met members of Parliament.

Eagle Hills signed a commercial agreement last month for the USD 20 billion Maldives Waterfront and Marina project, which will be developed on 500 hectares of land in Rasmalé. The Government has said the project is expected to generate USD 11 billion in revenue for the State over 10 years.
