It has been confirmed that two of the four people whose conditions became serious in last night's serious motorcycle collision in Hulhumalé are receiving treatment on ventilators.

Five people are receiving treatment after being injured in a serious accident involving a collision between two motorcycles on Nirurolhu Magu in Hulhumalé Phase 2 at around 2:55 AM last night.

According to what "One" has confirmed, two of them are receiving treatment on ventilators at IGMH—specifically, two individuals who were riding the motorcycles.

Police stated today that they have received information indicating the condition of four out of the five injured individuals is serious. They also noted that after receiving initial treatment at Hulhumalé Hospital, the injured persons were transferred to IGMH for further care.

Police stated that the accident occurred while three people were riding on a single motorcycle and traveling against traffic on a one-way street. Furthermore, they revealed that the motorcycle was stolen and that the person driving it did not possess a valid license to drive land vehicles of that category.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
