A serious accident occurred in Hulhumalé when two motorcycles collided, injuring multiple people.

Police stated today that they received information about an accident involving a collision between two motorcycles on Nirurolhu Magu in Hulhumalé Phase 2 at around 2:55 AM last night. Police also reported that a total of five people sustained various injuries and are currently receiving treatment.

According to police, three of the injured individuals were transferred to IGMH for further treatment after receiving initial care at Hulhumalé Hospital. Efforts are also underway to transfer the remaining two individuals to IGMH, though specific details regarding the extent of their injuries are not yet clear.

When "One" contacted the IGMH media officer for a statement, the official confirmed that three males have been brought to the hospital, with one of them currently in the operating theater. "The other two patients are being treated in the emergency room," the official stated without providing further details.

Police are currently investigating the incident.
