President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has submitted three names to the People's Majlis for appointment to the position of Deputy Commissioner General of Taxation.

In a letter sent to Majlis Speaker Abdul Raheem Abdulla requesting the parliament to review and approve a candidate for the post, the President stated that the submitted names are his preferred choices among those who responded to the public call for applications.

The submitted candidates are:

Ahmed Shafneez, Bakeechage, S. HithadhooAhmed Mausoom, V. MiaresMaryam Jaidha, Kandugasdhoshuge, K. DhiffushiThe President requested that these names be presented to the Majlis and that the final decision regarding the appointment be communicated.

When the letter was presented at today's Majlis session, the presiding Deputy Speaker and Eydhafushi MP Ahmed Saleem referred the three nominees to the Majlis Economic Committee for review.
