Discussions have been held on further strengthening economic and trade relations between the Maldives and Qatar.

According to a post made by the Ministry of Finance on X last night, these discussions took place during a meeting held in Doha between Minister of Finance and Public Enterprises Hassan Zareer and Qatar's Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari.

The meeting primarily focused on opportunities for advancing the private sector. In addition, the two ministers discussed exploring new avenues to increase investments and economic cooperation.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the meeting also highlighted strengthening relations in key areas of mutual interest. The ministers further discussed working together to achieve sustainable economic growth.
