The Maldives Civil Aviation Authority (MCAA) has issued Approved Training Organisation (ATO) 017 authorization to Slovenia's Aviation Career Center (ACC) on the 20th of this month.

In a press release issued yesterday, ACC stated that this is a very significant milestone in the center's ongoing efforts to expand internationally.

Under this authorization, ACC is empowered to conduct pilot training programs approved by the civil aviation authority. These include Private Pilot Training, Integrated and Modular Commercial Pilot Training, and Airline Transport Pilot Training.

Additionally, the programs cover Instrument Rating, Multi-Engine Piston Class Rating, Night Rating, and Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC). Authorization has also been granted to conduct training courses for Flight Instructors, Class Rating Instructors, and Instrument Rating Instructors.

With this accreditation, Maldivian students wishing to pursue pilot training under the regulatory framework of the Maldives Civil Aviation Authority can now complete their training in Slovenia.

While local pilot training is also underway in Gan, Addu City, in partnership with Zenith Aviation Academy, Maldivian students traditionally pursue aviation studies abroad in countries such as the Philippines, Sri Lanka, the United States, and Spain.
