President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed have departed for Singapore.

The President's Office stated that the President and First Lady traveled to Singapore last night on an unofficial visit. The President's Office did not disclose any further details regarding the trip.

This marks the President's seventh unofficial visit to Singapore since assuming office. He previously traveled to Singapore on May 24 of this year, returning to the Maldives on May 30.

Following his inauguration, the President's first unofficial visit to Singapore took place on March 22, 2024, returning on March 24. Subsequent unofficial visits occurred on May 1, 2024 (returning May 5), August 27, 2024, July 31 of last year (returning August 5), and December 27 of last year.

Additionally, prior to taking the oath of office, President Muizzu traveled to Singapore on a family trip on October 30, 2023, and returned on November 4, 2023.
