The Finance Ministry has opened bids for the construction of a 50-bed hospital in Hulhumalé dedicated to mental health services.

The project, being undertaken by the Housing Ministry, is open to contractors registered under the construction regulations and qualified under GC01 Grades 1 to 7. Foreign contractors may also participate in line with the Foreign Direct Investment Policy.

A non-refundable registration fee of MVR 1,500 is required, while bidders must submit a bid security of MVR 864,000.

The pre-bid meeting will be held online on 7 October, with bids due by 1pm on 25 October 2026 through the Government’s tender portal.
