UAE's Eagle Hills Chairman Mohamed Alabbar has stated that the massive USD 20 billion development project planned by the company in RasMalé will be executed in a way that brings the greatest economic and social benefits to the Maldives and its people.
The agreement between the Maldivian government and Eagle Hills to develop a modern marina and a world-class waterfront city in RasNalé was signed today in Abu Dhabi. Alabbar, founder of Emaar, the company behind iconic global projects like the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall, expressed his deep joy and honor in becoming a development partner for a uniquely breathtaking country like the Maldives.
"The reality is, as everyone knows, the Maldives is like a breathtaking dream to the entire world. When I received the invitation to discuss such a project, I accepted it with immense joy, because there is only one Maldives in the entire world," Alabbar said. "Bringing about positive and meaningful changes that benefit the Maldivian economy and society is an important goal very close to my heart."
Alabbar noted that, considering the Maldives' delicate natural environment and its prominent global standing, the project will be implemented to the highest standards. Drawing on his 28 years of extensive experience in the real estate sector, he assured that the initiative will generate numerous jobs, create new business opportunities, and fully respect environmental and social safeguards.
Under this project, high-end branded residences, commercial and entertainment services, as well as comprehensive healthcare, educational, and wellness facilities, will be provided all in one integrated destination.
