Records show that S. Gan received the highest rainfall across the country over the past 24 hours.

According to data from the national meteorological authority, the Maldives Meteorological Service (Met Office), S. Gan recorded 183 millimeters of rainfall during this period.

The agency's records indicate that Thinadhoo City received the second-highest rainfall at 87.6 millimeters, while Hulhulé ranked third with 86.4 millimeters.

Conversely, Met statistics show that the lowest rainfall recorded over the past 24 hours was in R. Irufushi, which received 1.5 millimeters.

The national meteorological office stated that widespread rain and thunderstorms are expected across much of the country over the next 24 hours, with heavy showers likely in some areas alongside rough seas.

Winds are forecasted to blow from the west and northwest at speeds between 13 and 23 miles per hour, reaching gusts of approximately 40 miles per hour during squalls. Additionally, wave heights are expected to range between 3 and 7 feet.

Consequently, the Met Office has urged individuals engaging in maritime travel to exercise caution regarding the weather conditions.
