Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef stated today that teachers play the most crucial role in building the nation's future and nurturing tomorrow's generations.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the International Teachers Conference held at Shaheed Ali School, the Vice President noted that while technology and artificial intelligence are opening new avenues for the education system, no technology can replace the role of a capable and passionate teacher.

He highlighted that technology is merely a tool, whereas teachers are the ones who inspire students and help them develop their full potential. He also emphasized that necessary assistance and resources must be provided to teachers to prepare students for a changing world.

Furthermore, the Vice President underscored the importance of an educational system that ensures equal opportunities for all children. He stated that acknowledging that every child learns differently, teaching methods must be structured to accommodate those differences. He added that the perception that academic education is the sole path to success must change, noting that the country needs youth equipped with technical and vocational skills to advance the national economy and strengthen industries.

Assuring the government's high appreciation for the work of teachers, the Vice President stated that no educational policy or curriculum can succeed without the active participation and dedication of teachers. He expressed hope that the discussions held during the conference will bring positive changes to the lives of many children in the future.
