An expatriate has been arrested on suspicion of sexually abusing an underage girl.

Police stated today that a case regarding the alleged sexual abuse of a 16-year-old girl on an island within the South Police Division was reported to authorities yesterday.

In connection with the case, a 42-year-old expatriate man was taken into custody yesterday, police confirmed.

Authorities are conducting further investigations into the matter.
