Shaheeb Media has concluded a 20-hour media training programme aimed at media and public relations officers from government offices and companies.
The programme, held from August 23 to September 3 at Ahmadhiyya International School, trained 25 participants in working with the Maldivian media and effective media communication.
The training was conducted by veteran journalist Mohamed Shaheeb, who has 35 years of experience in Maldivian journalism and currently serves as Shaheeb Media’s president, CEO and editor.
Youth Minister Abdulla Rauf attended the certificate presentation ceremony as the chief guest, while Foreign Ministry State Minister Dr Mohamed Fahmy Hassan was the special guest. Government spokesperson Mohamed Hussain Shareef (Mundhu) also delivered a special session.
Shaheeb Media said the programme was designed to strengthen the ability of media and PR officers to effectively communicate information about their institutions’ projects, events and services to the public.
