President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has expressed condolences following the passing of Abdulla Shareef (M. Echo), who served the government for a prolonged tenure.
In his message of condolence, the President stated that he received the news of the passing of Shareef, who had served in the President's Office for an extended period and held senior positions, with deep sorrow.
Shareef, who received the National Award for Service to the State in 2023, served the government for more than 41 years, including over 34 years of service at the President's Office.
The President highlighted that Shareef was known as a highly capable administrator who served with sincerity, honesty, and strong professional ethics.
"In mourning the loss of Abdulla Shareef, I extend my deepest and most sincere condolences to the bereaved family. May Almighty Allah envelop the deceased in His mercy and grace, and grant him the eternal blessings of Jannat al-Firdous. Ameen," the President stated in his message.
