Speaker of the People’s Majlis Abdul Raheem Abdulla has departed for Cambodia.

The official visit to Phnom Penh is to participate in the 2nd Inter-Parliamentary Speakers' Conference (ISC), taking place from today through Friday.

During the conference, Speaker Abdul Raheem is scheduled to deliver an address on the theme: "Unity for Peace and Prosperity: Strengthening International Law and Peaceful Dispute Resolution."

Accompanying the Speaker on the delegation are:

  • Mohamed Shahid, MP for Hulhudhoo constituency
  • Musthafa Hussain, MP for Machangolhi South constituency
  • Ashraf Rasheed, MP for Faresmaathodaa constituency
  • Ahmed Nihan Hussain Manik, Chief of Bureau at the People’s Majlis Secretariat
  • Zuyyina Badhuree, Assistant Director General of the Foreign Relations Department

The ISC is a multilateral platform bringing together parliamentary speakers and legislative leaders to deliberate on international peace, adherence to international law, conflict resolution, and shared development.
