The Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) will hold an investment forum as part of its 2026 National Congress on August 19.

The party said more than 100 projects submitted by city and island councils will be presented at the forum.

MDP has also invited businesses, organisations, clubs, music groups and other groups to attend the congress as observers.

The party said observers will be able to follow the congress proceedings, exchange views on political and economic issues, and engage directly with local councils on matters of interest to a future MDP administration.

Interested parties can apply online to attend as observers.
