Three people have been injured in an accident in Hulhumalé Phase 1 after a motorcycle driven by a minor collided with another motorcycle.
A police media official told One Online today that a report was received at around 10:30 PM last night regarding a collision between two motorcycles at the four-way intersection connecting Nirolhu Magu Goalhi 12 in Hulhumalé Phase 1.
The official stated that one of the motorcycles was driven by a 17-year-old. The accident resulted in injuries to an 18-year-old passenger riding pillion with him, as well as the 19-year-old driving the second motorcycle.
The official noted that the 18-year-old is receiving treatment at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH), while the 17-year-old is undergoing care at Hulhumalé Hospital. The 19-year-old has been discharged after receiving medical treatment at Hulhumalé Hospital.
The official further revealed that the 19-year-old driving the second motorcycle also did not hold a valid motorcycle driving license.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
