President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan have discussed strengthening the longstanding relations between the Maldives and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The UAE Embassy in the Maldives said the two leaders discussed key areas of mutual interest during a phone call held today.

The discussions focused on increasing cooperation in economic development and various development projects, the embassy said.

The leaders also reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation and creating new opportunities that benefit the people of both countries.

The UAE further reaffirmed its continued support and partnership in the Maldives’ development journey.
