MNDF has stated that a diving vessel carrying six people has run aground.

MNDF said last night that the vessel involved was a diving boat named "Urafaa."

Personnel from the MNDF Northern Area Command, Coastguard First Squadron, and Police responded to rescue those onboard after the boat ran aground on the reef on the western side of HDh. Nolhivaranfaru.

MNDF added that all six individuals on the diving vessel were rescued and transported to Nolhivaranfaru aboard a local dinghy.
