Talented PSM sports journalist Saaid Ahmed has been admitted to the ICU of IGMH after his condition deteriorated significantly.

Said is currently undergoing treatment for double kidney failure.

It is understood that Saaid's health worsened upon visiting the hospital for a routine dialysis session, leading to his transfer to the ICU at IGMH for emergency treatment.

Said was diagnosed with kidney failure in June 2018 after consulting a doctor due to an infection. Since then, he has undergone medical treatment both in the Maldives and abroad.

His condition turned critical while he was preparing to undergo a kidney transplant. It is learned that a suitable donor had already been arranged for him.

Said entered the journalism field in 2009 with SunFM before joining PSM in 2015.
