Malé City Council has proposed developing Rasfannu with an inflatable water park and other recreational facilities.

The proposal was submitted by Maafannu South constituency MDP Councillor Ibrahim Laban Shareef during the council’s 11th meeting.

Laban said the project would provide modern recreational facilities for Malé residents and visitors while creating a comfortable and safe environment.

He proposed installing a water slide and inflatable water park in the waters off Rasfannu, along with dedicated ramps for people with disabilities. Beach huts and sunbeds could also be provided as part of the development.

Council members supported the proposal and referred it to the council’s Urban Planning Committee for further study.
