The Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee has approved a recommendation to instruct the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to investigate issues identified in a special audit of Fenaka Corporation's recruitment, promotions, salaries and allowances.

Under the recommendation, the ACC must submit the findings of its investigation to the committee within 30 days after the Parliament approves the committee's report. The ACC will also be required to provide monthly progress updates and submit a final report once the investigation is concluded.

The committee also recommended that Fenaka conduct a job analysis as part of its ongoing right-sizing exercise to assess workloads and staffing requirements. Based on the findings, the company should determine the appropriate number of employees for each role and refrain from recruiting additional staff unless a clear need is established.

Fenaka has also been asked to submit a report to the committee within three months of the Majlis approving the report, detailing the progress and outcomes of its right-sizing programme, including changes to its workforce.
