President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Uz Amjad Musthafa as the new President of the Employment Tribunal.
The appointment was made at a special ceremony held this morning at the President's Office. Prior to the appointment, Uz Amjad Musthafa took the oath of office before the President. The oath was administered by Supreme Court Justice, Honourable Uz Abdulla Hameed. During the ceremony, the President formally presented Uz Amjad with his letter of appointment.
Uz Amjad Musthafa holds a Bachelor's Degree in Shari'a and Law and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). He has extensive experience in the legal and public administration sectors and has served as a member of the Minimum Wage Advisory Board. He previously served as President of the Employment Tribunal in 2020.
