In a raid operation targeted at undocumented expatriates living in the Maldives, the Immigration Task Force has taken 10 expatriates into Immigration custody from nine cafes.
Immigration stated today that, as part of ongoing efforts to resolve the issue of undocumented expatriates, the Immigration Task Force conducted a raid operation this morning.
During the raid, nine cafes in Malé were inspected, and ten expatriates living in violation of regulations were taken into Immigration custody.
Additionally, on the night of the fifth of this month, the Immigration Task Force conducted an operation in the Malé Food Court area, inspecting 88 expatriates and taking 27 into the institution's custody.
Furthermore, during a raid operation conducted in Thilafushi on the 11th of this month, 836 expatriates were inspected, and 32 expatriates living in violation of regulations were taken into Immigration custody.
