The Ministry of Housing has stated that it has begun online distribution of documents confirming the handover of land plots to those who received land in Gulhifalhu under the "Binveriyaa" scheme.

While the previous government reclaimed 150 hectares of land in Gulhifalhu, distributed plots to Malé residents, and handed over registries, this administration has changed the area's Land Use Plan and re-demarcated the land plots. Following this change, a new draw was held, and the process of issuing registries has been carried out.

According to a video published on X by the Ministry of Housing, the "Hiyaavehi" portal must now be used to obtain the land handover document. The Ministry said that after logging into this portal via eFaas and navigating to the section on land handover, Gulhifalhu land recipients can view their plot details, and the option to download the land handover document through the portal is now open.

The Ministry said that this digital document will include a QR code and a special link to verify the location of the land plot, and scanning the code or clicking the link will display the plot's location on a map.

The Ministry further stated that this document can only be downloaded by individuals who have already collected their land registries following the changes made to the Land Use Plan. Additionally, documents for plots located in areas currently used as active work sites will be issued once the work in those areas is completed, the Ministry said.
