The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Coast Guard has launched a response after a cargo boat ran aground off V. Felidhoo.

MNDF said the cargo vessel, Jazeera 10-Q, ran aground about five nautical miles off the island.

A vessel from the MNDF Malé Area Command and Coast Guard's 2nd Squadron has been dispatched to the area to respond to the incident.
