The Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) has extended the application deadline for its scholarship programme to 15 July.
The scholarships are open to Maldivians seeking to pursue bachelor's, master's and PhD programmes at selected universities in Malaysia. The initiative aims to develop local talent in the financial and economic sectors.
The scholarships are available for the following programmes:
- Bachelor of Accounting at Selangor Islamic University
- Master of Laws at the International Islamic University Malaysia
- Master of Economics at the International Islamic University Malaysia
- PhD programmes at INCIEF University, including Islamic Finance and Applied Communication (Economics and Finance)
MMA said successful applicants will be required to serve the authority for five years after completing their studies.
The scholarship covers tuition fees, university-related expenses, living allowances, book allowance, establishment and departure allowances, visa costs and health insurance.
