Four individuals have been arrested in Kulhudhuffushi City over drug-related offenses.

Police stated last night that the four individuals were arrested during two separate counter-narcotics operations conducted jointly by Counter Narcotics Intelligence and the Kulhudhuffushi Police.

Among the two operations, the one conducted this Tuesday led to the arrest of Hassan Ibrahim (27) of Leykokaa, Kulhudhuffushi City, and Fathimath Ali (32) of Kagi, Kulhudhuffushi City.

Upon arresting them and searching the guesthouse where they were staying, suspected illicit narcotics were discovered. Police stated that the items found had a temporary weight of 3.9 grams. Arrested on suspicions of drug trafficking, sales, and consumption, the two were produced before the court to determine their remand.

The court ordered Hassan to be remanded for 10 days and Fathimath for three days.

Furthermore, police stated that the operation conducted on June 30th led to the arrest of Adam Mohamed (42) of Aneeza, Kulhudhuffushi City, and Ahmed Ismail (33) of Huvafenee Asseyri, Kulhudhuffushi City.

In this operation, the individuals were arrested under a court order, and a search of the house they were in at the time uncovered suspected illicit narcotics. The discovered items had a temporary weight of 14.06 grams. When produced before the court to determine their remand, the court ordered both individuals to be remanded for eight days. Both cases are currently under investigation by the police.
