Commissioner of Police Ahmed Mohamed has said that the true measure of a police officer's success is the trust of the public, not rank or promotions.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony of the 42nd Basic Training Course, the Commissioner urged new officers to carry the values and skills they learned during training throughout their careers. He said every step taken during training represents a commitment to protecting public safety and maintaining peace.

Ahmed Mohamed described the police uniform as a symbol of safety and reassurance for the public, stressing that policing is a duty to serve the community with integrity and professionalism.

He also said police officers should lead by example, uphold the dignity of the service and remain resilient in the face of challenges, noting that difficulties should strengthen rather than discourage them.
