A 16-year-old boy who fell from the second floor of a flat in Hulhumalé has been taken off the ventilator.

The incident occurred last Tuesday night at the Amaan Dhoadhi 5 flat located in Hulhumalé Phase II.

The teenager initially received medical treatment at Hulhumalé Hospital and was later transferred to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) for further care. IGMH confirmed today that the boy has now been taken off the ventilator and moved to a general ward.

While the hospital has not disclosed specific details regarding the exact extent of his injuries, the police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
