A 16-year-old boy has been placed on a ventilator after falling from the second floor of a housing unit in Hulhumalé. According to the police, the incident occurred at Amaan Dhoadhi 5 in Hulhumalé Phase 2 and was reported last night at around 11:14 PM.

The boy was initially taken to Hulhumalé Hospital for immediate medical attention and was later transferred to the Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) for further treatment.

IGMH confirmed to local news outlet "One" today that the teenager is currently receiving treatment on a ventilator. However, the hospital has not disclosed specific details regarding the extent of his injuries. The Maldives Police Service is currently investigating the case.
