Young Maldivian runner Aishath Shaba Saleem has departed for Greece to participate in the 66th International Session for Young Olympic Ambassadors, organized by the International Olympic Academy (IOA).

The event, held in Ancient Olympia, Greece, commenced yesterday and will continue until the 18th of this month. The session is a special initiative designed to foster Olympic ambassadors and develop future leaders who will uphold Olympic principles and values.

The program in Greece will feature lectures by Olympic and sports experts, group activities, and interactive sessions with Olympic athletes. Additionally, the event offers specialized workshops on Olympic values and provides a valuable platform for participants to network and build connections with athletes from various countries.

Shaba is currently one of the most promising up-and-coming athletes in the Maldives. She also recently represented the country in two international competitions held in China.
