Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has launched the Malé Taxi Line mobile application for Apple devices, making it easier for customers to access taxi services.

The application is now available for download on the App Store, while the Android version is expected to be released on Google Play soon.

Through the app, users can book rides instantly or schedule trips at least three hours in advance. The platform also offers multiple payment options, including an in-app wallet, bank gateway payments and Scan to Pay at the end of a journey.

The app includes safety features such as an SOS emergency button, direct messaging with drivers and the ability to submit feedback after each trip. Users can also view their trip history and upcoming bookings through the Activities section.

MTCC's 24-hour taxi service operates between Malé, Hulhulé and Hulhumalé with a fleet of 150 vehicles. Taxi services remain available through the hotline 1655 and the MTL web app.
