President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has extended Republic Day greetings to Ramchandra Paudel and Balendra Shah.

In letters sent to the Nepali leaders, President Dr Muizzu highlighted the strong friendship between the Maldives and Nepal and expressed confidence that ties between the two countries would continue to grow through greater cooperation and mutual respect.

The President also praised Nepal’s progress towards prosperity and democratic development, describing Republic Day as a symbol of the country’s resilience and spirit.

In a post on X, President Dr Muizzu said the occasion reflects the important contributions of the Nepali people in building a progressive nation while preserving their rich traditions and identity.

Nepal marks Republic Day every year on May 28, commemorating its transition to a federal democratic republic in 2008.
