Police have arrested four people in a series of drug operations carried out in Male’ City and Hulhumale’.

According to police, the arrests were made during five operations conducted by the Drug Enforcement and Counter Narcotics Intelligence on November 25. Authorities said 100.09 grams of drugs were seized from five apartments searched in the two locations.

The suspects were identified as Ahmed Jinah, 43, Ahmed Saeed, 28, Mohamed Anoof Ali, 27, and Ahmed Maeesh Rasheed, 28.

Police said all four were arrested under court orders on suspicion of drug possession and trafficking.

Jinah and Saeed were remanded in custody for 15 days, while Anoof Ali and Maeesh Rasheed were remanded for five days.

The case is under further investigation by police.
