Two individuals have been arrested on suspicion of illicitly trafficking alcohol, as well as possessing, using, and trading drugs.

Police stated that the two men arrested in connection with this case are Bangladeshi nationals: Md Fazlee Rabee (25) and Md Shahajan Sawal (36).

The suspects were apprehended during a search conducted on a safari vessel.

During a joint operation conducted last Monday by the Police Drug Enforcement and Counter Narcotics Intelligence, the suspects were arrested and the safari vessel was searched, leading to the seizure of 207 bottles of alcohol and substances suspected to be narcotics. A large amount of cash and US Dollars were also confiscated.

Upon being produced before the court to decide on their remand status, both individuals were ordered to be remanded in custody for 15 days.
