The Ministry of Finance has stated that salaries and allowances for the ongoing month of May are scheduled to be released next Thursday and Sunday.

The ministry said today that this arrangement for depositing salaries for civil servants was made after considering the upcoming Eid al-Adha holidays and the hours banks will be open during that period. Although salaries are typically deposited at the end of the month, changes have been made this time due to the holidays.

While government offices have been closed since last Friday in connection with this year's Eid al-Adha holidays, offices will reopen on May 31. During this long holiday period, banks are scheduled to open only on Thursday, May 28.

A ministry official told the media that the ministry will proceed with depositing salaries and allowances on the 28th, which is the day banks open during the holidays, and on the 31st, when government offices reopen. He noted that this decision was aimed at ensuring employees receive their salaries without difficulties ahead of the Eid holidays.

According to the State Public Finance Regulations, each month's salary must be disbursed within the last three working days of that month.

Referencing this, the official stated, "According to the State Public Finance Regulations, each month's salary must be released within the last three non-holiday days of that month. Therefore, May's salary and allowances will be released on May 28 and 31."

The ministry further stated that the government will proceed with the disbursement in accordance with the schedule set under the Public Finance Regulations, and that salaries will be completely deposited for all employees within those two days.
