An announcement has been made seeking a large number of pharmacists for the government's pharmaceutical company.

An announcement made by the company yesterday stated that they are seeking 19 individuals to work in Malé as pharmacists and pharmacist assistants.

Applications for the positions can be submitted before the 30th of this month. Requirements for the position include holding a diploma or advanced diploma in the field of pharmacy and having 1 to 4 years of experience in the field. The announcement stated that a salary between MVR 12,000 and MVR 15,000 will be provided.

To resolve the issue of medication shortages, the government established a company named State Pharmaceutical and Medical Supply Corporation Limited in September last year to import medical drugs, medical consumables, and medical equipment in bulk.

However, all related operations will be transferred under the company starting from the 1st of July.
