President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has congratulated the graduates of the second batch of the Maldives National Service (MNS) Initial Training programme.

In a post shared on his official X account, the President said the batch includes 343 students from 112 islands across the Maldives. The group consists of 63 female and 280 male participants, with 113 graduates under the age of 18.

The three-month training programme began in January and was held in Lh. Maafilaafushi. The programme included training in national identity, responsible citizenship, religious education, leadership, first aid, firefighting, physical fitness, maritime skills, swimming and field exercises.

The Maldives National Service is a national initiative launched by the President to develop disciplined, resilient and workforce-ready youth grounded in Islamic values and patriotism.

The first batch of MNS graduates completed their training in December 2025.
