Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation has instructed residents to remove garbage and other items placed in public areas of the 4,000 housing units in Hulhumale’ Phase II.
The corporation said waste and materials left in corridors and shared spaces have caused difficulties for residents and raised health and safety concerns.
FDC reminded residents that placing items in public areas violates building use regulations. Residents have been ordered to clear such items by 8 p.m. on Friday.
The corporation also stated that it will continue cleaning the premises and will not be responsible for any damage to items removed during the clean-up process.
The issue of waste being dumped outside flats has become increasingly common in the housing towers.
