The government has declared May 24 and 25 as public holidays to facilitate Eid celebrations, according to the President’s Office.

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu said the decision was made to ensure employees can enjoy the holidays conveniently and regularly.

The President’s Office also announced that government offices will reopen on May 31 after the Eid holidays.

This year’s Hajj Day falls on Tuesday, the 26th, while Eid al-Fitr will be celebrated on Wednesday, the 27th.
