The Criminal Court has sentenced a 43-year-old man to 15 years in prison after finding him guilty of sexually abusing a child.

The state filed charges against Sharafullah Ismail from Kanduhulhudhoo, under the Child Sexual Abuse Act.

Following the trial, the court found Sharafullah guilty and handed down a 15-year prison sentence.
