The national airline, Maldivian, has dismissed rumors circulating on social media that it plans to sell alcohol on its flights.

In a statement, the airline clarified that it does not serve alcohol on any of its flights and has no plans to introduce such services. “The news regarding plans to introduce alcohol services on Maldivian flights is false,” the airline said.

Maldivian also urged the public to avoid sharing unverified information and to rely on official sources for accurate updates.
