Hassan Mohamed, the Editor of "Adhadhu" news, was summoned to the police today in connection with the ongoing investigation into the documentary titled "Aisha."
Accompanied by his legal counsel, Hassan reported to the Sergeant Adam Haleem Criminal Investigation Building at 08:30 AM this morning.
This summons follows a series of recent actions against the news outlet, including a court-authorized police raid on the Adhadhu office on Monday night, during which several items were seized. Additionally, Hassan’s passport has been withheld until July 26, 2026, to ensure his presence during the investigation.
In addition to Hassan, the CEO of Adhadhu, Hussain Fiyaz Moosa, has also been ordered to present himself for questioning. Fiyaz is scheduled to appear at the police headquarters at 2:30 PM today. His passport has also been withheld as part of the same case.
The summons notices sent to both Fiyaz and Hassan specify that they are being questioned regarding their alleged involvement in the production and publication of the "Aisha" documentary, which centers on serious allegations against President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
