The passport of Hassan Mohamed, the Editor of "Adhadhu" news, has also been withheld by authorities.

This follows an ongoing police investigation into the documentary titled "Aisha," released by Adhadhu, which levels serious allegations against President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.

The court order issued to Maldives Immigration to withhold Hassan's passport stated that the measure was taken because an investigation is underway regarding the claims made in the documentary. The order noted that there are suspicions regarding his involvement in the production and concerns that he may flee the country while the probe is active.

The withholding of Hassan’s passport follows a similar action taken last night against Fiyaz Moosa, the CEO of Adhadhu.

Furthermore, police conducted a search of the Adhadhu news office last night under a court warrant. According to the news outlet, the police raid was linked to the documentary published on the 28th of last month. The report in question is based on an interview with an anonymous individual and directs significant allegations at President Muizzu.
