Homeland Minister Ali Ihusaan has stated that the investigation into the fire that broke out in the building housing the Housing Ministry, which resulted in the burning and total loss of important documents from that ministry as well as the Environment Ministry and the Construction Ministry, has now been completed.
Responding to a question from a journalist at a press conference held today at the President's Office, Minister Ihusaan said that the investigation into the fire at the building where the three ministries operated is finished and that information regarding the case will be shared with the media very soon.
The building housing the Housing Ministry caught fire and was burnt to ashes on December 12, 2024.
Since important state documents were destroyed in the incident, a team from India was also brought to the Maldives to investigate how the incident occurred.
Following the fire at the building where the three ministries were located, the services of those ministries were later provided at Dharubaaruge.
