Dr. Mohamed Faisal, the Secretary General of the National Pay Commission, has resigned from his post.
The Pay Commission is the primary authority responsible for determining salary and benefit policies for state employees. The commission is composed of five members and is chaired by the Minister of Finance.
A Finance Ministry official confirmed the resignation to "One" today; however, the specific reason for his departure remains unclear.
Dr. Faisal, who earned his PhD in Public Policy from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, previously served as the Secretary General of the Civil Service Commission (CSC).
