Moosa Fathuhee Adam has been appointed as the Secretary General of the People's National Congress (PNC). The party announced the appointment in a social media post today.

Moosa Fathuhee, who previously served as a State Minister at the Ministry of Local Government (a ministry recently dissolved by the government), is also a member of the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) representing the business administration sector. Additionally, he contested the 2022 Komandoo constituency by-election as the PPM candidate.

The position of PNC Secretary General became vacant following the resignation of Muaz Haleem last Saturday. In a post on X, Muaz stated that he stepped down to support the efforts of Party President, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, in strengthening party governance and aligning party activities with the pulse of the people to achieve better results.

The PNC leadership consists of ten members, including seven Vice Presidents: Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef, Defense Minister Ghassan Maumoon, Fisheries Minister Ahmed Shiyam, Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed, President’s Office Spokesperson Mohamed Hussain Shareef, Baarashu MP Ibrahim Shujau, and LGA CEO Mohamed Nimal.

The President of the PNC is President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, and the Chairperson is the Speaker of the Parliament, Abdul Raheem Abdulla.
