President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has today appointed Ahmed Shiyam as the Minister of Fisheries, Agriculture, and Ocean Resources.

According to the President's Office, the President presented the letter of appointment to Minister Shiyam during a ceremony held at the President's Office this morning.

At this ceremony, the oath of office for cabinet members was administered by Supreme Court Justice Al-Ustaza Abdullah Hameed. After taking the oath, the Minister signed the official declaration of the oath for cabinet members.

Last night, the cabinet was reconstituted after the mandates of the 20 government ministries were revised and reduced to a total of 15 ministries.
