Dr. Abdulla Khaleel has been dismissed from his position as the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Khaleel was appointed as the Minister of Foreign Affairs on September 30, 2024. Prior to assuming the role of Foreign Minister, he served in the capacity of Minister of Health.

Today, eight other ministers have also tendered their resignations.

These include Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Abdulla Khaleel, Minister of Tourism and Environment Thoriq Ibrahim, Minister of Health Abdulla Nazim, Minister of Local Government Adam Shareef Umar, Minister of Higher Education Dr. Ali Haidar, Minister of Agriculture and Animal Welfare Maryam Mariya, Minister of Gender Dr. Aishath Shiham, and Minister of Youth Ibrahim Waheed.

While nine ministers of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's cabinet resigned today, several heads of state-owned enterprises have also resigned within this week.
